Language Training for Yukon Government Employees

French Language Training

The Government of Yukon’s Adult French Language Training Centre, in collaboration with the Association franco-yukonnaise, offers French classes to government employees and to the general public. All levels are offered, from beginner to advanced. Classes take place at the Adult French Language Training Centre on Wood Street or at the Centre de la francophonie on Strickland Street.

Weekly classes are offered from September to April, with two 12-week semesters running from September to December and again from January to April. Classes are two hours long and take place once a week, during the daytime or in the evening.

Intensive classes are offered at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels during the months of May and June. No classes are offered in July and August.

Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis.  A brief oral assessment is conducted upon registration to determine the appropriate level.
