Information for Yukon First Nation People

The Workplace Diversity Employment Office (WDEO)

In 2004, the Workplace Diversity Employment Office (WDEO) was created as a unit in the Public Service Commission Corporate Human Resource Services Branch to support efforts to make the Yukon public service representative of the people it serves.

The Workplace Diversity Employment Office houses two programs – First Nation Services and Disability Services, each with unique goals and objectives.

WDEO First Nation Services aims to:

  • facilitate training and professional development for Yukon First Nation people; and
  • assist Yukon First Nation citizens in finding and keeping employment within the Yukon public service.

Representative Public Service Plan (RPSP)

The Representative Public Service Plan (RPSP) is a Yukon government initiative to increase aboriginal representation in the Yukon Public Service according to Yukon First Nation Land Claims Agreements.
