Retirement Planning Workshop

The YTG also sponsors a two-day retirement planning program that is open to all employees. While the lifestyle issues discussed in the workshop are more pertinent to those closer to retirement, even very young employees can benefit from learning about the financial issues presented. We try to group employees of similar ages together as much as possible, to allow the facilitator to customize the presentation according to the needs of the group.

Individual Help

If you’re looking for some individual help, take some time to think about what you really need. Financial planners who hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation have the training and experience to develop a comprehensive plan that touches on all aspects of your financial situation. Where necessary, they will co-ordinate their activities with those of other specialists such as lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, and investment advisors in order to help you carry out your plan.

The CFP designation is granted by the Financial Planners Standards Council, a non-profit organization with the responsibility for establishing, upholding and promoting professional financial planning standards across Canada. A roster of CFP professionals is available on their website at http://www.cfp-ca.org/.
